Judging by the popularity of sneakers like the Ultra Boost and Yeezy Boost 350, it's clear that adidas has created a winning combination with its pairing of Primeknit uppers and Boost cushioning. It's a concept that we've also seen employed by the Y-3 brand, although never quite as aggressively as on this new model for Spring/Summer 2016.

Known as the Primeknit Pure Boost ZG, this latest Y-3 entry builds upon a number of familiar design cues, including elements from the Ultra Boost and a heel clip reminiscent of the Palace Pro. Its intricately knitted upper, which is available in solid black and black/white, sits atop a dual-layer midsole that places Boost cushioning directly underneath the foot and is capped off with a foam outer layer.

According to Sneakerboy's Instagram page, these are slated for a Spring/Summer release, meaning they will probably start arriving at retailers within the next couple months. We'll let you know as soon as we hear more.
