John Wall's contract with adidas has expired.

According to a report from The Washington Post, the deal - a five year, $25 million contract that originally started with Reebok - ended on September 30 meaning Wall hasn't had an official sneaker deal in almost two months. Unlike the hoopla surrounding James Harden's expiring contract with Nike and his eventual move to adi, Wall's sneaker moves - or lack of - have remained under the radar. Wall has continued to wear the adidas J Wall 2 during games, but the report does mention Wall wearing unspecified brands during practice.

During Wall's time with adidas, adi has established a brand identity for the star guard along with a signature collection. Considering Wall is one of the NBA's most electrifying young players playing on a good Washington Wizards team, the assumption can be made that adidas surely wants to keep him in its fold.

If Wall does end up walking, it'll be interesting to see where he ends up. Nike is always an option. He could even end up on Jordan Brand's roster. Will Under Armour make a move? Considering what its done with Stephen Curry, UA is a serious contender. Or might we see Wall jump ship and sign with one of the several Chinese brands - Anta, Peak, Li-Ning - that are doing its best to break into U.S. markets?

We'll just have to wait and see.
