In a story first reported by Nice Kicks, Ken Link, a name familiar amongst hardcore sneakerheads, has been elevated to the position of Jordan Brand Design Director.
In addition to the move, Nice Kicks also reports Jordan Brand has decided to split its designers into two teams, one focused on lifestyle, the other performance. Link has been with Nike for twenty years having previously held the title of Design Director of Nike Basketball and most recently, Design Director of Nike Training and Cleated Footwear.
Sneakerheads who might not be familiar with Link, will certainly be familiar with his work as he's been responsible for creating several, high-profile, signature silhouettes including LeBrons II-VI, the Zoom Kobe 1 and 2, the Zoom Revis, and the Lunar Trout.
For full details of Jordan Brand's leadership transition, make sure to head over to Nice Kicks.
