Is there anything that Dominic Chambrone can't do? The designer better known as The Shoe Surgeon has had a hand in some of the year's greatest customs including a series of "Misplaced Checks" releases with John Geiger. Now, Chambrone is setting his sights on something even bigger with the introduction of his very own sneaker.

Created as a prototype for a close friend, The Shoe Surgeon's latest labor of love may very well be his best work yet. For starters, the entire shoe is hand lasted and built from the ground up, so you know some serious man-hours went into this one.

The entire upper is made with mink color python skin and features signature Shoe Surgeon details like a gold embossed logo at the tongue. But Chambrone didn't stop at the exterior, as it's lined with black Japanese cow leather and red deer leather on the tongue.

Unfortunately, it's not clear if this is simply a one-of-one creation for Chambrone's friend or something that he plans on producing more of. We've hoping for the latter, but either way, the bar has officially been raised.
