Last night, our man Spike Lee was in the building for the New York Liberty's semifinals win over the Washington Mystics at Madison Square Garden. Also in attendance for the postseason match-up was sports photographer @geminikeez and as usual, he took some stellar shots of the night's footwear. However, it wasn't the kicks on the court that caught our eye, but rather a pair worn by Spike himself.

Colored in an unmistakable Knicks-flavored orange and blue, these kicks have already drawn more than a few "what are those?" reactions, but that's because 'heads genuinely want to know what they are. According to Sneaker News, this is actually the next installment in Spike's signature Jordan line and will be known as the Air Spike 40, a reference to his 40 Acres and a Mule production company that was alluded to on the heel of the original Spzike sneaker.

Spike's latest is set to drop on October 14 in the "Game Royal/Total Orange" colorway seen below.
