We've already seen a few brands pushing trail shoes heavily for fall, but this is definitely one we didn't see coming. NikeLab, which is usually reserved for avant-garde designs and ultra premium materials, is prepared to drop its take on the Zoom Terra Kiger II trail running shoe. And that's not to say that these aren't futuristic or premium, because from the looks of things, they're both.

Previewed by Hanon, this NikeLab release takes the Zoom Terra Kiger sequel and strips away its engineered mesh upper in favor of a perforated leather. The entire upper is executed in a tonal grey, aside from a small hit of white on the tongue's branding.

Down low, the white midsole is equipped for some serious action with exaggerated lugs and portions of sticky rubber. While you probably won't want to actually hit the trails in these, it's nice to know that they can get the job done if needed.

These are set to launch tomorrow, September 24, via Hanon for around $181. There's no word yet on a U.S. NikeLab release, but stay tuned.
