Aside from making quality products, ASICS has built a reputation of bringing us some of the best collaborations in the sneaker game. One thing that is common amongst its long list of fire collabs is that they are usually limited in quantities. Its latest GEL-Lyte 5 collaboration with Emmi is also limited, but this time limited to women sizes only.
We know this exclusive collab has to sting a little for male ASICS fans, but Emmi is a Japan-based women's brand so the ladies only release makes sense. This sneaker features a diverse selection of materials that come together nicely on its grey base. You'll notice the usage of classic ASICS rope laces, nubuck, tweed, and a "houndtooth" design that is normally featured on other women's clothing items. Women's exclusive or not, hats off to these two brands for a well executed take on a classic model.
