If you've managed to pick your jaw up from the floor after yesterday's news that adidas has offered James Harden a $200M, 13-year deal, get ready to have your mind blown again.

Yahoo has pointed out that Steph Curry's contract with Under Armour, valued at just under $4 million per year, looks like pocket change in comparison to what Harden was offered, which breaks down to roughly $15.3 million yearly. Even more surprising is the fact that Curry could have signed for less, as Nike had offered him $2.5 mil per year before Under Armour made its bid.

Although $4 million a year would be enough to make most of us retire early, it's actually been nothing short of a bargain for Under Armour.

In the short time Curry has been with the brand, he's brought its footwear from outlet fodder to a legitimate contender amongst sneakerheads. Look no further than the "MVP" edition of his first signature shoe, which was one of the most valuable sneakers on the secondary market for Quarter 2 of 2015.

In the long run, Curry's Under Armour deal could go down as one of the smartest deals in the history of the sneaker industry, but only time will tell if it's enough to meet CEO Kevin Plank's goal of pushing UA basketball to a $1 billion business.
