Love him or hate him, John Geiger knows how to get attention. His line of "Misplaced Checks" sneakers, made in collaboration with The Shoe Surgeon, have become an overarching theme in custom footwear, and it all started with one design.

The first "Misplaced Checks" that Geiger and The Shoe Surgeon made were off of a white Air Nike Force 1 Hi and adorned with Swooshes of varying colors and materials. The original pairs are long gone by now, but Geiger just announced that they'll be making a comeback. This time around, however, they'll be made in a "large quantity," unlike the previous run.

The main difference on this version is the writing on the Air Force 1's signature strap, which reads, "Too many no's, not enough O's," a clear reference to his time working and consulting with Nike.

Expect the "Misplaced Checks" to release on August 28 at a random time via a link that will be tweeted by Geiger.
