The allure of going to a thrift store and digging to find gold has drawn in many to ravage through these shops, which are often clumps of dust and remnants of the past. Once in a while, there's something amazing found there, and it keeps everyone coming back. For one Reddit user, he didn't even know what he stumbled across, but the Internet soon let him know.

Reddit user MOREBLOCKS123 posted that he found a pair of "Lemonade" Nike Air Max 1s, which released in 2006 as part of the "Powerwall" collection. As the story goes, the user says, "I recently posted these bad boys on a local Facebook market and my in box blew up with offers into the thousands." This was after he posted an image of the worn-in but still wearable sneakers with the caption: "Peep the $5 thrift cop."

MOREBLOCKS123 had no clue what the sneakers were.

Another user informed him, "DS pairs of any Air Max 1 Powerwall go for $1,500-4,000 depending on the shoe. They're pretty used, but I could see someone shell out $400-500. It'll take a while to sell."

The original poster went on to state that the exact offer he received was $1,150. He hasn't sold the sneakers yet, but that's quite a return on investment.
