This year has been substantial for adidas’ surge back to relevancy and, the brand is clearly not letting up. Between collaborations with Kanye West and a slew of great runners such as Tubulars and Energy Boosts, the sportswear giant is capturing the market with a contemporary take on footwear.

In an effort to keep up with modern times, the adidas Originals Superstar gets recreated with a new look – Primeknit. The material has been used on other Originals silhouettes, such as the Stan Smith, so it’s no surprise that the Superstar get the same treatment.

Reminiscent of the Superstars fans already know and love, the upper is made entirely of Primeknit in white-and-black and black-and-white colorways. An off-white rubber toe cap and outsole also lend to an original feel.

Look out for the adidas Superstar 80s Primeknit in stores on August 1st. Retail is $140.
