Sometimes, all that an athlete needs to excel is the right competition, and that's exactly what Nike Basketball is paying homage to with the latest Kobe X Elite colorway.
Known as the "Rivalry" Kobe X Elite, this fiery "Total Orange/Laser Orange/Tumbled Grey" colorway takes inspiration from one of Kobe Bryant's biggest challenges in high school. His Lower Merion Aces had a long-standing rivalry with the Chester Clippers, but in a semifinal match-up, Kobe dropped 31 points and overcome the Clippers en route to the state title.
Now, Nike will pay its respects to Bryant's high school opponents with the "Rivalry" Kobe X Elite dropping on July 22. Retail is $200, and these are confirmed for a Nikestore release.
