We've known about the Ronnie Fieg x Diamond Supply Co. collaboration for a few weeks now, however, like many of Fieg's projects, all we've so far seen is a handful of teaser shots. Today, that all changes as the project has been officially revealed.
The Ronnie Fieg x Diamond Supply Co. x ASICS collection plays on a couple different themes such as blending Kith's East Coast influence with Diamond's West Coast flavor and bringing the cultures of skate and sportswear together. It's also significant because Ronnie Fieg himself has been an admirer of Diamond's work since his early days in the footwear game and now the two parties are finally coming together.
As you may have heard, this collab includes two seminal ASICS silhouettes: the Gel Saga and Gel Lyte V, both of which are familiar territory for Fieg. Although each model makes use of "Diamond Blue," that's where the similarities end.
The Ronnie Fieg x Diamond Supply Co. x ASICS Gel Saga is inspired by rugged skate sneakers with a durable microperforated black leather upper. "Diamond Blue" suede fills in the rest, while the inside is lined with leather. These will retail for $165.
Meanwhile, the Ronnie Fieg x Diamond Supply Co. x ASICS Gel Lyte V takes a different approach, representing the sportswear crowd with its light colors. The upper is composed almost entirely of a "Diamond Blue" microperforated suede, while a metallic silver "fiberglass" heel counter adds some glimmer. The Gel Lyte V is set at $175.
Each sneaker is completed with co-branded insoles and rubberized heel branding, while in-store pairs will come with special jewelry-inspired packaging. Look out for this collection to drop on June 19, which is Ronnie Fieg's 20th anniversary of being in the footwear industry. This landmark collection will be available at all Kith and Diamond Supply locations as well as online.
