Concepts is doing some of the most interesting projects in the sneaker collaboration scene right now. It's also one of the few shops that can collaborate with whoever it wants, and often uses this platform to work with brands that haven't become played out yet. The retailer is now working with Karhu, a Finnish sneaker brand, on the '95 Aria running sneaker.

For those not in the know, Karhu is not a new brand, but was founded in 1916. Until 1951, the label actually used a Three Stripes design, which it sold to adidas for very low sum of money and two bottles of whiskey. Earlier this week, word hit that the '95 Aria would be coming back, and now Concepts is using the silhouette to tell the tale of Finland.

According to the store, "The shoe pays homage to the brand's homeland of Finland and more specifically, the iconic Helsinki train station. Green copper roofs, famed glowing granite stone, orange Finnish sunsets, and a vibrant blue sky."

All of that inspiration is seen in multiple shades of suede used on the '90s runner. Expect these sneakers to be available on Saturday, June 20, in-store at Concepts in Cambridge, Mass., with a subsequent release online at 12 p.m.
