The Air Jordan Retro XI is primed to make its annual return for the 2015 holiday season, and now we're finally getting a better idea of what to expect come December.

Dubbed the "72-10" edition, these Jordan XIs were designed to pay tribute to the '95-96 Chicago Bulls' record-setting season. Finishing with 72 wins and just 10 losses, it's a record that likely won't be matched anytime soon. The shoes themselves are comparably unique, with several details and material changes that set them apart from standard XI releases.

For starters, the Jordan XI's signature patent leather overlay has been given a tumbled appearance, adding some texture to the traditional gloss. Up top, the mesh base is replaced with a black tumbled leather, while the heel opts for a black suede instead of its usual leather construction. There's also the Jumpman logo, which is now a metallic red mold instead of simply stitched in.

Take a look at the preview shots below and check back for more updates on the Air Jordan XI "72-10."
