The adidas Ultra Boost has quickly become one of the year's hottest sneakers, and while much of the credit for that is owed to Kanye West, the truth is that the sneaker was already pretty amazing before Yeezy's co-sign. But don't take our word for it — one sneakerhead just summed up why the Ultra Boost is the perfect balance of comfort and style.

Reviewing both the black and (currently sold out) white colorways of the Ultra Boost "City Pack," Simon Bus from Turnschuh.tv puts the sneakers to a performance test, running through the city streets, and also works them effortlessly into an outfit.

He calls the Boost midsole a "beast" and says there's nothing else on the shelves that can compare. Surprisingly, he also says that despite the higher quality look and feel of the Ultra Boost Collective J&D versions, he prefers the standard inline versions more.

The black colorway is still available from adidas, although both the Collective and general release versions of the white pair continue to sell out with the quickness. We'll be sure to let you know when and if they restock.
