Hot off the heels of debuting the Puma RF698 Mid, Ronnie Fieg has taken to his Instagram account to debut a second sneaker for his upcoming collaborative drop. The R698 “Sakura” will be released along side the rest of the collection on March 20.
For those in the know, “Sakura” is the Japanese word for the Cherry Blossom, a small flower prominent in Japanese culture, whose center is a deep pink that fades lighter to the tips of the pedals. That same fade is reflected in the all perforated pigskin upper, with the deep pink on the toe, and tones of lighter pink on the rest of the upper. The midsole follows the fade, while the outsole keeps with the darker tone.
As a reminder: the collection is releasing exclusively at United Arrows & Sons Jingumae Shibuya location in Tokyo.
