The combination of workwear and sportswear continues in Nike’s latest “Wheat” sneaker. The Nike LeBron XII “Wheat” was created as a celebration of LeBron’s early career successes and sneaker history.

On February 13, 2004 LeBron wore his “Wheat” Air Zoom Generations to the Rising Stars Challenge, playing along side Carmelo Anthony. He went on to score 33 points in the game, which wouldn’t prove enough to capture a win for the first timers. 11 years later, Nike has pulled that shoe’s heritage from the archive and reinjected it into this season.

The LeBron XII “Wheat” features an almost entirely wheat nubuck upper with metallic gold branding and a gum sole.

Nike is careful to let us know that these are not made to be played it, but that doesn’t mean you can’t them to death. They’re set to release on Saturday April 4 at the hefty price of $250.
