There haven't been many Nike runners as groundbreaking as the original Air Huarache from 1991. Inspired by surf booties used by Tinker Hatfield during vacation, the Air Huarache features a snug Neoprene upper for a sock-like fit.

For 2015, Nike gave the iconic runner a fresh update in the form of the Huarache NM. Gone are the original lacing system and midsole, which is replaced with Flywire rope laces that wrap around the midfoot and connect to a Free-inspired midsole for natural flexibility. Elsewhere, it's a pretty standard affair, with the Huarache heel clip and a slightly modified toebox rounding out the package. If the non-traditional design is a little out of your comfort zone, this simple Black/White colorway should make the transition easier.

Take a closer look at the Nike Huarache NM "Black/White" below and cop them now for $162.
