How much would you pay for a pair of Air Jordan Flight 45s? What about a pair of Justin Bieber’s? Most of us would probably be an easy pass on that cop, but someone else had a different idea, to the tune of $50,000.

As a part of an eBay charity auction to support Ontario’s Stratford House of Blessing, a pair of the Biebs’ gently worn (VNDS?) white Flight 45s sold for that much, along with other autographed memorabilia. The shoes were from his childhood, along with the rest of the items, and signed to make them ever more unique.

Justin Bieber hasn’t given us many reasons to feel good the last couple of years. And there are even a few details to this story that aren’t that feel good (Flight 45s?). But, the bigger point is Stratford House of Blessing just got $50k off this one pair of shoes and the popularity of the singer. You don’t have to like his work, or like the shoes, to respect that.
