As "Superstar" Pharrell gears up to release another installment of his adidas collaborations, we take a look back at his Stan Smith "Big Polka Dot" release from last month.
You'll get no argument from any true sneakerhead and menswear fan that the adidas Stan Smith is an undeniable classic silhouette in the footwear game. A tried and true staple thats often been imitated, but never quite duplicated, the adi model has managed to stand the test of time and appear in generation after generation of people's wardrobes and rotations.
While most are familiar with the classic "White/Green" Stan Smiths, the creative genius that is Pharrell Williams decided to give the iconic model a fun makeover with the addition of large "White" embroidered polka dots on a "Black" leather base. Considering most of us already have a pair or two of the signature Stan Smith colorway, it probably wouldn't hurt to add Pharrell's version considering it still manages to maintain the simplicity and class of the original versions.
