Converse is launching a capsule collection of Chuck Taylor All Stars in commemoration of renowned pop artist Andy Warhol. The spring 2015 Converse All Star Andy Warhol Collection features iconic Warhol imagery across an array of Converse All Star kicks for both men and women.
The limited-edition sneakers will feature some of Warhol’s most recognizable works — most notably the iconic Campbell’s Soup Cans — printed across the Chuck Taylor All Star 1970s silhouette.
Warhol is regularly hailed as the preeminent artist of the 20th century, noted for creatively merging pop culture, film, music, screen printing and performance, inspiring millions of artists and performers around the world.
A portion of the proceeds from the Converse All Star Andy Warhol collection will go towards The Andy Warhol Foundation, a non-profit organization that was set up after Warhol’s death in 1987 and is dedicated to the advancement of the visual arts.
The spring 2015 Converse Chuck Taylor Andy Sneaker Collection will be available for purchase starting Saturday February 7th and will retail from $75 to $110 at select retailers across Canada and at Converse.com.
