Has there ever been a more busy NBA season in terms of players getting their own signature sneakers? So far, we've seen John Wall and Kyrie Irving debut their own silhouettes with Stephen Curry joining them any day now. Another name we hope to see on that list by season's end is Damian Lillard.
After inking a lucrative deal to stay with adidas this past summer, Lillard took to Instagram to debut his first-ever signature sneaker back in October. Since then, it's pretty much been all crickets over at adidas as far as release date details. Lillard once again played the part of leaker, when he debuted an all-red pair of the D Lillard 1 in a series of videos for NBA Live '15, which he serves as the cover athlete for. Today, we are getting out most detailed look at there silhouette yet, but still don't have any inkling as to when the shoe will release. We know that the sneaker has been completed since October, so we're just wondering what's holding it up? Might an All-Star Weekend release be in the cards? Maybe a playoff debut? Whatever it is, we are just hoping it's sometime in the near future.
