Pusha T's street-inspired adidas Originals collaboration has just been unveiled by GQ, who got the scoop on the G.O.O.D. Music rapper's upcoming sneaker.
Using the EQT Running Guidance 93, which has seen a reemergence this year with the drop of O.G. colorways, Pusha T puts his own personal spin on the vintage runner, channeling his experience as a hustler. The sneaker is done up in a coke white base, which appropriately sports cracked leather details, and fish scale paneling at the heel and quarter panel.
While Pusha T grew up idolizing the track suit and Shell Toe vibe a la Run-D.M.C., the EQT was the perfect sneaker that matched his current style.
"I think the EQT is just a dope silhouette people can rock with today's fashions," he told GQ. "I wanted something that would complement a whole outfit. And that's how I get dressed. I think of the whole silhouette."
He also said his favorite adidas sneaker of the year was the snakeskin and ostrich variations of the Stan Smith, which released as a special Consortium pack.
"Both were must-haves on my list," he said. "I'm actually currently trying to get more pairs of them, and it's not really working out for me. People need to know that I have a hard time like everybody else!"
