Nike's clearly trying to milk everything they can out of the Kobe series. The Kobe 9 is still getting new looks almost weekly, and the Kobe 10 is rumored to be dropping in February, but that's not enough as Nike recently unveiled the Zoom Kobe Mentality.
These aren't the special edition Kobe's Nike is planning to drop when the Mamba passes MJ on the all-time scoring list, or the latest Zoom Kobe Venomenom, but rather just another iteration. Nike's already got 4 colorways slated to drop sometime in spring/summer 2015, but they'll come at a lower price point then other models. The shoes feature a fuse material through the upper, and a thick rubber outsole that'll stand up both indoors and out, and feature a Lunarlon midsole for added cushioning.
The Zoom Kobe Mentality just allows Nike to stretch the Mamba name as far as they can, and offer consumers with a shoe that won't break the bank like the $225 Kobe 9 Elites. Apparently Kobe had a lot of input into these, so you still know with the $100 price tag, they're Mamba approved. Check out the 4 colorways set to launch and keep it locked for official release information.
