It seems Nike SB has been going H.A.M. experimenting with a bunch of different innovations as of late. After incorporating Lunarlon on the Janoski and using Free for an entirely new skate shoe, Nike's skateboarding division has now created a mashup centered around Eric Koston and—get this—the Huarache.

The Koston Huarache uses a suede base that's not quite the Koston 1 or 2 and uses unmistakable elements from the vintage Nike runner, including its heel cage and eyestay.

It makes for an interesting combination that has caught everyone off guard, but it's not entirely a surprise. Koston is known for being a sneakerhead and his signature line has already seen updates by way of Air Max technology and even a Kobe VI-inspired pair.
