Nike's running program has produced some serious innovations with the likes of Air Max, Free, and Lunarlon. With all this game-changing technology under one category, Nike's always pushed the envelope and explored what it could do with all its inventions. From mashups like Lunar Air Maxes to all-new silhouettes that incorporate tech from another category like the Lunarlon-equipped Kobe 9s, Nike has never shied away from exploring.

It's next innovation is here to disrupt skateboarding.

Today, Nike SB officially unveiled a brand new skate shoe that uses Free technology, which is actually the first of its kind for the action sports program. By using Free, skaters can now shred with less constriction on the foot. It allows better flexibility and encourages skaters to move more naturally with their board.

"I can't cheat in this shoe," says pro skater and SB team rider Sean Malto. "The feel coming to me from my feet, on the board and in space during a trick are super enhanced in the SB Free."

The Nike SB Free is set to launch on Nike Store on December 25. You can get an early crack at purchasing the sneakers the day before its official launch by downloading the Nike SB app and purchasing through there come December 24.
