The real star of the first-ever College Football Playoff hasn't been Marcus Mariota or Jameis Winston. Instead, the big headline-drawer has been none other than Nike.

By sponsoring all four team selected for the playoff bracket, Nike released special uniforms and matching Nike Vapor Untouchable cleats for each team. Prior to the selection show, Nike made waves by essentially predicting the playoff field with the release of college-themed colorways of the Zoom Hypercross TR trainer with the logos of the four teams that just happened to get picked for the tourney. Now, Nike is trotting out a special edition Nike Zoom Field General as part of the "Championship Diamond Ring" pack. There's apparently a Bo Jackson trainer set to drop as part of the pack too, but not much is known about that shoe at the time. With a sequel reportedly set for the new year, this may be one of the final colorways of the Zoom Field General we'll see.

Check out the Zoom Field General "Championship Diamond Ring" in the gallery above and pick up a pair today at Nike for $130.
