If you ever wondered about every inch and detail that goes into your favorite sneakers, JD Sports has a new video series that does just that. In the first episode, the UK retailer took the New Balance 574, which is probably the brand’s most well-known silhouette, and had someone render one from start to finish on Photoshop.
"We commissioned a speed painter to create a trainer from scratch on Photoshop. We filmed the process and time lapsed so you can see the creation unfold,” the retailer said in an e-mail.
The video, which starts with a mere sketch of the 574, lay outs how each color and material were picked, starting with the navy upper. With yellow accents on the heel, ankle, and branding, the 574 is also treated to a grey mesh toe box and tongue.
