We have a nice little PR battle brewing between Nike and one its former athletes, as runner Kara Goucher has taken to Twitter to question the brand's "We Run Dirty" ad campaign.

For those of you that don't know, Goucher left Nike this past Spring for startup Oiselle after being sponsored by the Swoosh for the last 12 years. One of the reasons Goucher cited for her departure was the ability to be more outspoken, and in this case she was. The ad in question is Nike's "We Run Dirty" campaign, which comes in the wake of recent doping scandals involving top-tier runners like Kenyan Rita Jeptoo and Russian Liliya Shobukhova. Goucher does have a point, as the ad does sounds a bit like Nike is hinting at performance-enhancing drug use. Whatever the case, it looks like this battle might open a can of worms.

Check out Goucher's tweet below and stay tuned with Sneaker Report to see if Nike responds.
