Raf Simons and adidas Originals will be releasing another round of Stan Smith collaborations. Set for a spring/summer 2015 drop, the collection will be slightly different than previous Stan Smith sneakers from the Belgian fashion designer.
Instead of a graphic of Smith's face imprinted on the leather tongue, which is the same signature illustration used on countless versions of the vintage tennis sneaker, including the ones from Simons, the left shoe will actually don the fashion designer's face. Some of these new sneakers, which comes in black and purple, were even worn on the runway during Simons' SS 2015 fashion show in Paris this past summer.
This isn't exactly the first time adidas Originals has given the Stan Smith branding an update. The cartoon character of the same name from American Dad! got Stan'd for his collab. Back in May, Pharrell also auctioned off a pair of the sneakers where the winner would get their own face immortalized on the tongue.
