Despite what their label says, we are going to go out on limb and say that these Maison Martin Margiela sneakers aren't really intended for athletic use.
The Belgian designer recently released a teaser for what they are calling the Fluorescent "Replica" Sneaker which are supposedly men's "sports" shoes. However, we have a feeling that lambskin and calf-split isn't exactly the next Flyknit when it comes to performance technology. With that being said, it would be a hoot seeing a professional athlete lace these up for a major posting event. Where's Swaggy P when you need him?
