Adidas is going to have an epic 2015.

The Three Stripes recently added three senior members of the Nike footwear design team. Nike Football Design Director Denis Dekovic, who was responsible for the Nike Magista, took to Instagram and announced that he and two other Nike designers will be making the move to adidas.

Joining him will be Mark Miner, a senior footwear designer who worked on the Nike Free, and Marc Dolce, the NSW design director responsible for reviving the Penny line. Nike still has Nathan VanHook, Eric Avar, Jason Petrie, Leo Chang, and Tinker Hatfield, but losing these three young designers is a big hit to the brand's future.

With the likes of Kanye West, Pharrell, and top NBA pick Andrew Wiggins joining team adidas, the addition of these Nike designers only strengthens the Three Stripes.

UPDATE: An adidas PR rep has informed Complex that Dekovic, Miner, and Dolce will head adidas' new creative studio in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 2015. The initiative is intended to drive design direction for the brand and will connect the Three Stripes more closely to sports and street culture.

“The Brooklyn Creative Studio will be a small but essential operation aimed at exploring design direction for the brand. This facility will be an open source creative center allowing us to connect and collaborate with consumers in a way we’ve never done before,” said Paul Gaudio, adidas global creative director.
