Nike has officially unveiled its third sneaker collaboration with animation company Laika.
The limited-edition Roshe Run Mid commemorates the release of the animated film, The Boxtrolls. Taking imagery straight from the movie, the sneaker, nicknamed "Trollstrikes," features burlap side panels and dark brown suede detailing on the toe and along the ankle collar. Brown leather covers the Swoosh, while the theme of the movie is made complete with the cobblestone-printed Phylon midsole. The sneakers will also come in a special box with a burlap dust bag and dri-fit socks.
In conjunction with the adoptive-parenting storyline of the animated film, the sneakers will release via eBay auction, and proceeds will benefit the Adoption Exchange Association. The auction can be found here.
Limited pairs will also be given away through a Twitter contest. All you have to do is follow @theboxtrolls and share a photo of your own original cardboard artwork with the hashtag #theboxtrollsnikeshoecontest. The contest starts now and runs up to 11:59 p.m. EST on October 3.
