Leading up to the opening of the NFL season, we saw a ridiculous number of specialized cleats being dropped on players so they can stunt on the field for week 1. Last night in a hard fought game, the Cardinals edged out the Chargers on Monday Night Football by a final score of 18-17. Although the Charger's weren't the best team of the field last night, their star defensive lineman Dwight Freeny, hit the field in the best cleats we saw all week.

Jordan Brand hooked up Freeny with a pair of Charger inspired Air Jordan 6 cleats for their season opener. The cleats were different from the other Jordan 6 cleats dropped on week 1 mainly because of the color block design that featured both the Charger blue and yellow through the cleat, and was finished with a white outsole.

At 34 years-old, Freeny is in the twilight of his career, and isn't exactly the dominating force he once was for all those years with Indianpolis. It is however good to see that Jordan Brand respected the veteran and hooked him up properly to open the season. Check out the cleats, and let us know who you think had the best cleats on field this past week.
