The next chapter in Jordan Brand history begins with tomorrow's launch of the Air Jordan XX9. To celebrate 29 years of flight and the latest signature sneaker from MJ's coveted Jumpman line, there will be special events going down in New York and Los Angeles this weekend.
For sneakerheads in NYC, Jordan Brand will be taking over the Footaction store in mid-town Manhattan, which is the same place where Flight 23 is located. Shoppers will have the opportunity to try on the XX9s and conduct their very own wear-test on a court that includes a height-adjustable hoop if you want to throw it down. The event goes down from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
In Los Angeles, Russell Westbrook will be in the house at Nike Santa Monica on Saturday at 6 p.m for a Q&A session. Sneakerheads will also be able to wear-test the XX9s from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., which also includes a special dunk cam experience. You can RSVP here.
