Ronnie Fieg has done it again. The head of Kith officially revealed his upcoming ASICS Gel Lyte V collaborations today, and both colorways are sure to bring out his usual following.
The "Rose Gold" colorway makes its return on a Ronnie Fieg x ASICS collab, but this time on the Gel Lyte V model. The runners feature a pigskin suede upper and asymmetrical color-blocking on the 3M-equipped ASICS branding. There's white on the lateral and blue on the medial. The interior is also lined in blue to match the medial details. At the heel counter is scratched-detailing, which marks the first time Fieg has ever used the material on any sneaker.
The counterpart to the "Rose Gold" GLV is "Sage." These runners were purely driven by construction and feature a slew of premium materials that Fieg has never used with past collabs. The upper is outfitted in a pigskin suede with microperforated detailing on the vamp. There are hits of sea green overlays and a contrasting white at the heel. Similar to the "Rose Gold" iteration, this colorway also features scratched-detailing on the heel counter. The sockliner is constructed of a unique open mesh build instead of the typical nylon, and the formstripes and heel tab even feature a safari-like print.
Look for both colorways to drop this Saturday, August 30, at the Kith pop-up shop at 66 Bleecker St. and Kith Brooklyn. The release will also be online on KithNYC.com at 11 a.m. EST. Both pairs retail for $170.
