Jordan Brand Confirms That the Air Jordan VI "First Championship" Will Not Release

Jordan Brand has confirmed that the Air Jordan VI "First Championship" sneaker will not release.

Air Jordan VI "First Championship"

Sorry, sneakerheads. The "White/Red-Dark Blue" (a.k.a. "First Championship") Air Jordan VIs will not be released, according to Jordan Brand.

The all-new VIs first appeared on Nikeinc.com/Brasil this past Monday and it was indicated that the sneakers would launch later this month at the Nike 1994 store in Brazil and on Nike.com.br. The page is still up on the Nike, Inc. website with the "Sport Blue" IIIs and XIVs, but the photos of the VIs have since been removed. A description of all three of the sneakers still remains in the copy, though.

Could the launch in Brazil be the "special project" that Jordan Brand referred to in its tweet below, or will the release in the South American country get canceled? If you're based in Brazil, be sure to keep this possible launch on your radar until the end of the month.
