The US Men's National Team took Belgium to the wire in an epic Round of 16 match-up, but fell 2-1 in extra time, ending their outstanding World Cup run. Despite the elimination, the USMNT left it all on the field in an outstanding effort, and goalkeeper Tim Howard set a World Cup record with 16 saves, the most ever in a single match. The game went scoreless through full-time, then Belgium came out swinging, scoring two goals in 12 minutes in the first half of extra time. Still, the United States refused to quit, and Julian Green pulled off a goal at 107' to keep hope alive before Belgium finally took the win. On the Wimbledon courts, Australia's Nick Kyrgios pulled off the biggest upset of the tourney so far, dropping Rafael Nadal 7-6 (7-5), 5-7, 7-6 (7-5), 6-3. After defeating the No. 1 Rafa, the 19-year-old sensation will jump from 144 to No. 68 in the rankings and face Milos Raonic, who was also successful yesterday, in the quarterfinals today at noon. With the win, Kyrgios becomes the first teenager to defeat a No. 1 ranked player at a Grand Slam event since Nadal did it himself in 2005. Will he be able to ride this momentum into the quarterfinals?
