Nike is all about athletes and providing them with top-class sneakers and gear to make them even better at what they do. Part of becoming an elite athlete involves training, and that means cross-training sneakers in Nike's case.

Just now, Nike unveiled the Lunar TR1, not to be confused with the other Lunar TR1 that released in 2012, and it's the brand's the lightest Lunar Trainer to date. According to Nike, a size 10 weighs only 9.4 oz.

Nike's goal, still, is to make a product that not only appeals to consumers' needs when they put in work but also to their eye and personal aesthetics. “Our goal is to help build the best athletes in the world so the Nike Lunar TR1 delivers a superior combination of protection, support and lightweight performance," Nike designer Nathan VanHook, the man behind the Air Yeezy II, said. "Plus, we think it looks pretty cool, which also matters to athletes.”

Right now, the Lunar TR1 can be purchased from Nike.com for $110 here.
