PONY has been in the game for over 40 years and continues to remain relevant in a sneaker culture that has dramatically evolved since its inception.  The company that prides itself as a "Product of New York" is still the same genuine lifestyle brand from back in the day.

From lacing top athletes with performance footwear to providing sneakerheads and street culture participants with a casual shoe, PONY continues to resonate with many O.G. 'heads, as well as the young guns in the game. For our Kicks of the Day, we take a look at one of PONY's heritage styles—the Slamdunk Hi Canvas.

The high-top model originally debuted in the '80s as a hoops shoe for the hardwood. For 2014, PONY has reissued this classic in four variations—red, black, white, and grey—with simple and clean color blocking. The Slamdunk is constructed of primarily canvas with mesh detailing on the toebox and a padded ankle collar. Underneath sits a thick white midsole with a vulcanized outsole. There's also PONY branding located on the medial and lateral sides to round out that O.G. aesthetic.

Stay laced this summer and cop a pair of the PONY Slamdunk Hi Canvas on Pony-US.com for $55.
