The Charlotte Hornets are back. After the original Charlotte Hornets moving to New Orleans in 2002 (now the Pelicans), The new-look team, formerly the Charlotte Bobcats, has returned to the NBA. And their mascot, Hugo, is the freshest in the NBA.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that the Hornets' mascot would get a makeover, and the most noticeable change would be what's on his feet. With Michael Jordan as chairman and majority owner of the team, it's only fitting that Hugo would be wearing Air Jordans. And he's lacing up Air Jordan XIs for the 2014-2015 NBA season.

It was cool to see the "mascot logo," but now we have actual photos of Hugo out in public—in which he's wearing XIs, albeit not actual sneakers. This opens so many questions: Are these the only Air Jordans he'll ever wear? Will he get PEs? Will there be Charlotte Hornets XIs dropping this year?

Still, this easily catapults him to the top spot of coolest NBA mascot. To be fair, though, the Hornets have always been fly. Check the video below of their initial uniforms unveil in 1988.
