Just last week, adidas Originals officially unveiled the SL Loop Runner. The lightweight sneaker was born from the SL 72 model that debuted at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. The casual sneaker was meant to be the go-to pair for participants in-between competitions. If athletes weren't rocking spikes or performance shoes, they were wearing the SL 72.

adidas Originals honors this sneaker with a limited-edition SL Loop Runner for a modern take on a classic. From the color scheme to the t-toe design, sculpted midsole, and lightweight materials, the SL Loop Runner's tribute to the 72 is perfectly executed.

Only 200 pairs of these commemoration kicks were made. Be sure to hit up your local adidas Originals retail store to find out how you can score a pair.
