Allen Iverson recently retired after 15 incredible years in the NBA. Coming in at just over 6' foot, Iverson played well above his size, and was highly regarded as one of the most prolific scorers in the history of the league, and possibly the greatest for his size. His accolades on the court can't be diminished as Iverson was an 11-time All-Star, 4-time scoring champion, 1996 Rookie of the Year, 2001 MVP, and even led his Philadelphia 76er's to the NBA Finals in the same year.

For his accomplishments on the court, the focus on Iverson off the court was often a negative one. Coming from a poverty riven area in Virginia, many considered his a thug based on how he dressed and his overall demeanor off the court. However, Iverson let his play do his talking for him (for the most part) as he rose to one of the greatest success stories in sports.

Check out the trailer from the upcoming 'Iverson' documentary from first-time director Zatella Beatty. Make sure you check out the film in it's entirety, which is mainly told through the words of AI himself, as it debuts this weekend April 27, at the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival.
