You're not going to see too many baseball cleats covered on this site, but when you convert a pair of Nike Foamposites for use in a Major League game, you have our attention.

Kansas City Royals' pitcher and self admitted sneakerhead, Jeremy Guthrie, did just that. In yesterday's game against his former club, the Baltimore Orioles, Guthrie took the mound wearing his creation, the Nike Air Foamposite One "Sport Royal" cleats. With the shoe bearing the team name and being a near perfect match to the Royals' uniforms, this custom was pretty much destined to happen. A few years back, Guthrie grabbed headlines when he converted a pair of Air Jordan 1 in "Max Orange" to hookup with his Orioles threads. It'll be interesting to see if "JGuts" has anymore projects lined up for the remainder of the season.
