That’s right, Washington footballer RG3 just joined Instagram under the name robertgriffiniii. His first order of business? Revealing a new logo for his ongoing adidas collection.
To this point, RG3’s collections with adidas have been minimal. A few cleats, some tees and socks, nothing with any major branding. Could this be a new tact for adidas? Usually custom player logos are reserved for more intensive branding on broader collections with wider industry interest.
The quarterback added a personal message with the unveiling: ““This wouldn’t be possible without the love and support of my family, friends and fans growing up. This is for us and represents all of the work the people around me put in to help me succeed in life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
If this new logo tells us anything, it’s that we have only seen the beginning of RG3 and adidas’ pairing. There’s definitely more to come.
