With so many running shoes hitting the market this spring, it’s easy for some to get lost in the shuffle and simply get overlooked. A primary goal for us at Sneaker Report is to sort through and help find the best possible fit for your specific running style. One shoe every avid runner should treat themselves to this spring is the ultra lightweight, highly cushioned, Puma Faas 300 v3.

When you first slip on the Faas 300 v3, a few things will stand out. First off, asthetically, the Faas 300 v3 stands out in a crowd. The metallic blue and peach really make the shoe pop as it’s a rather original take on a classic color scheme. The next thing you’ll notice is the Faas 300 v3 upper is built from a highly breathable air mesh making it an ideal shoe for runs with or without socks. Powered by Puma’s speedCELL design and paired with minimal no-sew overlays, the Faas 300 v3 weighs in at just 7.8 ounces, and immediately makes you feel lighter and faster the second they hit your feet. The final thing you’ll notice is the single-piece FaasFoam midsole, Puma’s proprietary blend of foam and rubber, which provides increased support and step in comfort.

The real standout feature of the Faas 300 v3 is Puma’s EverRide outsole paired with the EverTrack high abrasion resistant rubber. I’ve had the opportunity to run the Faas 300 v3 over the last few weeks and after many miles, it’s evident these are built to last.  The EverTrack rubber adds increased durability to high wear areas that are more prone to break down with use.

I've taken these just about everywhere conceivable, from the track, to the streets, and even down a local path through the woods. They provided me with enough traction and support no matter what terrain I encountered and it's easy to tell Puma put a great deal of thought and effort into creating a lightweight, durable runner. A main issue people may encounter is I found them to run rather narrow at first, which could hinder those with a wider foot, but I felt they broke in nicely after the first few wears.

Bottom Line: Speaking from experience, runner's aren't prone to trying new things. There's nothing wrong with finding a shoe that works for you and sticking with it, but if your in the market for a high-performance runner that could potentially improve your workout, the Puma Faas 300 v3 is one to consider.
