The latest installment of the Jordan series has arrived. The Air Jordan XX9 was officially revealed today, and it continues the brand longtime history of innovation and craftsmanship. Ever since 1985, Jordan Brand has been the leader in premium basketball shoes by being at the forefront of technology and the Air Jordan XX9 is another prime example of that.

The Jordan XX9 features two new revolutionary technologies from the brand, a revamped and evolved Flight Plate paired with the first-ever performance-woven upper. The XX9 was designed so each player feels like the sneaker was specifically tailored to their foot. The woven upper provides an unparalleled feel of structure, support, interior comfort unlike any other sneaker. The use of Flight Web fit system, and sock like interior lining keeps the foot locked down and prevents the heel from moving. Jordan brand reimagined the Flight Plate that made it's debut back on the XX8. The Jordan XX9 Flight Plate harnesses the energy of every step and repurposes it for optimal energy return. Much like the Nike Air Zoom units, the XX9 Flight Plate maximizes responsiveness and provides a smoother heel-to-toe transition.

The Air Jordan XX9 launches this September in two colorways— black/white-gym red and black/team orange-dark grey. Keep an eye out for Jordan Brand athletes debuting the XX9 when competition heats up during the 2014 NBA Playoffs.
