The Nike Kobe 9 has been revered as the most technically advanced basketball shoe ever created. Incorporating all of Nike's tech features into one, the Kobe 9 is paving the way for the future of basketball sneakers to become more advanced and even more focused on performance. Kobe has been known for rocking low cut sneakers on court over the years but following his achilles injury, Nike incorporated a higher ankle for his latest signature shoe for more support. However, Nike recently released the low-top version of the Kobe 9, and today we get our first look at the next colorway set to drop.

The Kobe 9 EM "Laser Crimson" has all the tech features from previous models minus the Flyknit upper. The latest colorway comes in a black base, set atop a white outsole, with cement grey print, and crimson accents around and heel and liner.

The Nike Kobe 9 EM "Laser Crimson" is scheduled to hit shelves May 1, at select retailers and specialty shops such as Social Status, for a suggested retail of $160. Chances are these will be rather limited so make sure you set your alarm clock for a chance to grab these.
