Name one of your favorite Nike commercials and chances are it was created by Wieden+Kennedy. The Portland-based ad agency has been spearheading the Swoosh's advertising initiatives for over three decades now are responsible for such sneakerhead favorites like Mars Blackmon and Michael Jordan, Lil Penny, and Bo Knows.

Just recently, though, the team over at W+K uncovered the first-ever Nike ads created by founders Dan Wieden and David Kennedy in 1982—ads that were originally believed to have been lost forever and never archeived. These ads ran during the New York City Marathon and were in fact the first Nike ads to be aired on national television.
